I wanted to make a garland for Gabby's room and I honestly could not be happier with the results! It was fairly simple to make and I just popped some House M.D. on the tv and knocked out this craft in a single episode.
1. Just print the color mints you want. 2, Cut out the mints 3. Glue 2 of the mints together so that the printed side is facing out on both sides. 4. Wrap the mint in clear cello wrap and tape it closed. 5, Secure the ends and attack your finished mints to a string. There are 3 you can make and the link to print is down below. This sheet is pretty much self explanatory just color the pumpkins that match with the corresponding value. We have been working on solidifying our identification of numbers and I noticed that Gabby struggles a little bit with some of the "teen" numbers so I thought this would be perfect for that and doing some light counting.
Button to print this sheet is down below. Enjoy! Yes, the next few post will be homeschooling resource related, If you have watched my latest vlog then you know that I we are currently learning about identifying money in our math and life skills lessons this month.
We are starting with coins so I made this easy to do worksheet where you match the coins to their corresponding value. Print the worksheet down below. Enjoy! Homeschooling is going a lot better than I expected it would be at this point and I have been having so much fun coming up with lesson plans and doing projects for Gabby.
I have learned so much about how her mind works and how to best deliver information to her so that she processes it. I have also developed a unhealthy obsession with making worksheets for us to use in lessons. We are focusing on working with money this month but I did want to also incorporate some basic math work sprinkled in to keep what we have learned fresh in her mind. I made these 3 missing number printables that you can download down below. Enjoy As a new homeschool mom in the modern world I honestly feel blessed. Not only by the wonderful moms and teachers who go out of their way to create worksheets, lessons plans and crafts but also the fact that they share their knowledge and wisdom online for those of us who find ourselves clueless on where to start with all of this. And as someone who has been blessed with the gift of drawing and is moderately tech savvy I want to share resources with you guys as well.
This year we are focusing our geography lesson on North America and our history lesson on mainly the Native Americans and some on the early European settlers this is the first month I feel like I have a solid lesson plan worked out and I am already a little bit ahead of the curve. I took some time last week to design this teepee template that was a simple and fun craft that my daughter (age 5), my niece (age 7), and my nephew (age 10) all enjoyed doing it. The link to the print is available down below. Enjoy! Making a holiday planner is a must for not being stressed during your seasonal planning. I know that some people just use their holiday planners for Thanksgiving and Christmas but I use mines as more of a catch-all for my event planning. If you saw last post then you know I released my holiday planner section dividers (LINK HERE) and I plan for everything from Easter Sunday to backyard BBQs.
So with all that out of the way I know my holiday planner would not be complete without a beautiful coordinating binder cover and spines. The spines are available in 2 sizes, I used the smaller size for my 1 inch binder. Hope you enjoy! If you have taken a peek around my blog then you my have realized I'm a teeny bit of a control freak. And like all good control freaks I have a holiday planner and you can't have a good holiday planner without having everything organized by holiday.
So in come the dividers and the icing one top is that they are gingham. I have made 6 different sections and I am open to making more if anyone has a special request. The sections are: Easter Thanksgiving Christmas 4th of July Barbeque & Outdoor Fun Birthday and Celebrations I have never sat down and done a real bucket list especially not a seasonal one. But seeing as this is the last holiday I have with my family before I move into the new house with Mr. Fitz I want to really embrace the season. So I made this printable and I plan on filling it with silly things like leaf piles, apple cider and all the fun stuff fall has to offer. Something tells me the Fall foliage in Florida is going to be a little lacking.
With social distancing keeping us a little farther apart this year I thought I would make a silly little card to send to some friends and family members this holiday season to lighten the mood.
Plus I'm really excited for pie, like really excited. Hope you enjoy! |
Hello I'm Minny! I'm a mom of one and future navy wife who enjoys crafting, planning, organization, and torturing my family with my attempts at cooking. If you are into those things and not put off by my slight obsession with Martha Stewart then stay and take a look around.
